For one of our clients, we are looking for a:

Chief Financial Officer

Function

• Work with the CEO & shareholders to make investments successful

• Transaction structuring skills is a plus (tax; legal; financing…)

• Lead and manage the budgeting process

• Overall cash management on a daily basis

• Overall control of all financial transactions and accountancy matters, including audit systems

• Managing the relationship with the auditors of the company and overseeing timely and well-organized audits

• Preparation and submission of weekly, monthly & quarterly updates, reports and analyses

• Preparation and distribution of quarterly and annual accounts to LPs & shareholders

• Review of accounts and investigation of variances

• Handling matters relating to insurance and risk management

• Close involvement in commercial negotiations with main suppliers / service providers

• Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are consistently met, including AML and AIFMD

• Handle tax matters (corporate tax; VAT filings; discussions with the tax authorities if necessary)

• Develop and maintain appropriate document filing systems, and ensure compliance with records retention procedures

• Assist in formulating responses and preparing analysis to deal with inquiries from existing and potential future investors and its underlying managers

• Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;

• Participating in the production of memos and Power Point presentations;

• Doing occasional translations (English-French).

• The CFO will be paid a base salary and will be eligible for a discretionary performance-based cash bonus.

Your profile

• Possess a passion for investing and the financial markets

• Have a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience in fields such as
corporate finance and accounting

• Have a strong and quantitative analytical background

• Have excellent Excel modeling expertise and strong PowerPoint and oral communication skills

• Have an intense work ethic and competitive spirit, and be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment

• Be able to present ideas with concrete data and well organized, logic-based arguments

• Positive attitude and team-work essential

• High level of attention to detail; ambition of having zero-defects when submitting deliverables

• Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty

• Fluent in English with excellent level of French and/or Flemish

• Integrity a must; humility a plus
