Reporting to the Finance Manager of the Luxembourg organisation (100 % position), you will enjoy the opportunity to be involved in the accounting and administration of Luxembourg-based unregulated companies (“SOPARFIs”), mainly active in the private equity industry.

Main tasks include:

  • Managing the local quarterly and year-end reporting process and the preparation of the statutory financial statements of the Luxembourg based entities and other ad-hoc financial reporting requests
  • Preparing financial part of the board meetings of these SOPARFIs
  • Handling the day-to-day financial activities and administration of the entities, incl. payment execution
  • Ensure timely and accurate management and financial reporting based on group instructions
  • Ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time
  • Support management on finance related special projects
  • Liaising with colleagues inside and outside Luxembourg
  • Taking over work from colleagues at busy times or in the event of sickness/holidays.

Profil

Formal education

  • Holds at least a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance

Work experience

  • At least 3 to 6 years post qualification business experience in accounting and finance / experienced working in an international environment
  • Has an understanding of complicated legal and accounting structures, preferably in a private equity environment
  • Has a good understanding of Luxembourg GAAP, with knowledge of IFRS an advantage
  • Good understanding of MS Office tools (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Ideally experienced coordination of IT projects
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills

  • Strong personality, but at the same time neither dominant nor striving to monopolise an area of expertise

  • Able to respond to occasional tight deadlines and to work under pressure without losing the ability to safeguard the required accuracy
  • You are team-oriented, service-oriented and responsible person, and you are characterised by courteous manners. In hectic phases you keep calm, stay positive, have necessary overview and act organised with an eye for detail
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills, flexible and stress-resistant by nature and able to proactively reprioritise tasks as needed
  • Set high standards regarding the quality of services and acts accordingly (curiosity, credibility, continuous improvement)
  • Trustworthiness, unquestionable integrity and high ethical standards

Language skills

  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken, as internal business language)
  • A knowledge of German would be an advantage
